Alone at Last

Radio Question of the Day:

A new survey found that these are now the three words most women want to hear the most... What are they?

*********************

Well, my Mormon guest has left. That Bindy. I wouldn't know where to start telling you about the visit. Aren't you lucky?

I went to church with her. Their Sunday morning services last three hours. Three hours. I was numb. And I'm not just talkin' 'bout my butt. The services are broken up however. One hour in the chapel, second hour in Sunday School and I forget what-the-heck they call the third hour, but for that session the men and women are separate.

All I'm doing today is finishing up the painting I'm doing at my church. Then I have to get busy quilting the church banner that daughter 3D and I did. At the same time I have to work on the preparations for our church auction. I'm in charge of the food for that. A day of rest. And after Bindy, it is a day of rest.

Anybody ever notice how much time this non-believer spends in church? That Lucy.

Answer to the Radio Question of the Day:

"You've lost weight!" Haven't heard that in a while.

Three hours? You are a good friend.

I'll be sure to tell The Missus she lost weight tonight. I'll tell you how it goes.

Last time I got dragged to church, I skipped Sunday School. I went to McDonalds for some chow. I felt like I was back in High School.

I had to go to the main service however.

I would not have been able to handle three hours. I would have faked a stroke or a seisure or something.

You, Lucy maluv, are a very good friend. Give give give
You ARE a very churched non-believer, it is true.
The naked door answering is a good tip, have to remember that.

There's been a lot of cartoon nudity on this blog lately. I don't think Bindy would approve.

I nearly went to college in Salt Lake City. Looks like I had a narrow escape. LOL!

Am I the only woman who doesn't want to hear those words? They would mean I was seriously ill.

Hi there lucy. Great blog. Went back and read some of your earlier stuff.....with a motive. I've lost Christine. She was so one of my favorites. Her last comment ot me was back in July (about Ants of all things). Just wandering if you oh ol Hoss know if she's ok. If she's not blogging or wants to be private...that's cool....just wanted to know if she was ok....thnx!

Hi Lucy, I am very sorry to hear that you have lost a much loved son by suicide, I read your post 7th Aug 2005. My son hung himself. I do think of all my happy memories of Justin. As you would understand this does not come close to making up for the fact they are no longer here with us. Sadly at this point I do not see the children or their mother,I keep the lines of communication open with them, reaching out in a positive manner. At this point im time I seem to have also lost a daughter in law that I had a good relationship with as well as my three much loved grandchildren. I hope and pray that this will change. Cheers and God Bless. Loved the naked cartoon, what a good idea! Margaret

Hi,
Had a real laugh at the naked door joke, thanks.
I once did an hour every Saturday morning for about 3 months with two lovely Mormon boys visiting to help me understand their religious teaching. It wasn't for me, but they understood that and were happy just to come and talk to me.
